Something Wicked This Way Comes at Club KennyK

Wow, where did October go? It's already my last Halloween guest post at Club KennyK
The theme is 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' so obviously I had to break out the Graphic 45.  I've made so many Halloween cards recently, I wanted to do a little something different for this challenge. My Mum gave me a vase of black roses, so I've made a vase 'wrap' (or maybe it's a tag, I'm not sure what to call it) using 'Devil Girl'.
Other products I have used for my creation:
  • Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells papers & embellishments
  • Core'dinations Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Collection cardstock
  • Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'Walnut Stain'
  • Tonic Tim Holtz Paper Distresser
  • Twine, ribbon & gems from my stash
  • ProMarkers - Umber, Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna, Gold, Cool Grey 5, Crimson, Ruby, Berry, Burgundy, Cardinal, Sandstone & Cocoa

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges:

All Dressed Up at Club KennyK

It's week 3 of our 31 Days of Halloween challenges at Club KennyK. I do hope you joined in last week.
This week our theme is All Dressed Up -  if you can wear it as a costume, it counts.
With this in mind I just had to use 'Trick or Treat', and what better stamp to go with this than 'Haunted House'.
I have made a square window card and doodled some spiderwebs on it.  I cut the Trick or Treat image up to create three separate images and also added a 'wooden' sign.  My Haunted House is at the back of the card behind the window. I planned the background to have stars, but I think it looks more like snow to be honest. Oh well, if it was a haunted house in Saskatchewan it probably would be snow!
Products I have used to create my card:
  • Papermania cardstock
  • Cuttlebug acetate
  • White Sakura Gelly Roll
  • ProMarkers - Cool Grey 1-5, Coral, Dusky Pink, Blush, Cardinal, Black, Burnt Orange, Bright Orange, Gold, Indigo, True Blue, Cobalt, Forest, Bright Green, Lime Green, Aubergine, Plum, Purple, Tulip, Buttercup, Soft Lime, Indigo, Sky Blue, Arctic Blue, Henna, Cocoa, Burnt Sienna & Raw Sienna

Samhain Blessings ~ with Scrapper's Delights

I entered a draw for Guest Designer at Scrapper's Delights and guess what? I won!
I have been given the Halloween version of 'Honey Anime' to use as part of the October Progressive Freebie Friday Challenge over on the Facebook Group. If you are not yet part of the group, please go and join.  Each featured image is free if you continue to play, but you don't have to use the freebie to join the challenge. All the rules are posted in the group, so I won't bore you with any more here!
My friend Nikki, who is also a crafter, inspired me to create this card. We were having a chat and she said she gave up making Halloween cards as nobody was interested in them.  She is following Paganism so I really wanted to make her a Samhain card, as I've only ever made them specifically with Halloween sentiments.
I have created a z-fold card using the following materials:
  • Kraft card blank and Halloween papers from Recollections at Michaels
  • Wink of Stella clear
  • Sakura Gelly Roll White
  • Promarkers - Burnt Orange, Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Peach, Lime, Bright Green, Forest, Lilac, Amethyst, Plum, Black, Cool Grey 1-5, Bright Orange, Mango, Cocoa, Gold, Indigo, Sky Blue, True Blue, Arctic Blue & Soft Lime

This week we are focusing on Halloween colours. You don't have to use them all, but make sure you use something from the colour scheme in your creation.
I have made a fairly clean & simple square card using the sunburst technique, as I thought it was time to use up some scraps! A Vampy Canvas

I am getting quite into decorating canvases at the moment so I bought some Ranger Texture Paste and some stencils to play with. It's great to be able to add some extra dimension rather than just inking directly on the canvas.
I coloured up Faery Ink's 'Ophelia Vamp Juice' a little while ago, but didn't know what I was going to do with her. Decorating my house for Halloween, I found my blood splatter tulle that I bought in Michael's last year and thought it would make great curtains.
First I used the texture paste all over through a stencil and let it dry, then I rubbed all over with a sponge tool and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.  I then used Memento Tuxedo Black in a few areas to give a bit more of an old look.
I cut a length of tulle and tied some twine around for shaping before gluing it around the edge of the canvas. Lastly I attached the image with 3D foam squares.
I coloured the image with the following Promarkers - Caramel, Pastel Beige, Satin, Burgundy, Cardinal, Ruby, Cool Grey 1-5, Pine, Forest, Apple, Lipstick, Crimson, Berry, Aubergine, Plum, Amethyst, Lilac & Purple.

I am entering my canvas into the following challenges:

Steampunk Spells

Well here in Saskatchewan the weather took a sudden turn and brought us a big snowstorm, so it's been rather cold. But we still have Thanksgiving and Halloween to look forward to.
I almost forgot about this card.  I made it for a magazine submission, so wasn't able to share it at the time. Unfortunately I didn't get in the magazine, but it does mean I can now post photos.
I don't think I've posted something without a digital image since I started using them, but this flying easel is purely designer papers and embellishments. As usual I got the idea from Pinterest.  The spiral 'flying' part was quite fiddly, but I finally got it to look right.
I have used the following products to create my card:

Exciting news - I have been asked to stay on as Guest Designer at Club KennyK during October as a Halloween Hottie!

Parisian Love

Hello Crafty Peeps!
Today I am sharing my card as the Guest Designer for the October challenge at
I was looking for something to use for an upcoming birthday and I found this 'Paris' image which is just perfect.  It's quite a big image so I've kept it CAS and mounted it to a square Kraft card.  I grounded the image with a bit of stippling and also gave it a bit of a glow by stippling yellow around. I've framed it with some blue squiggles and added a sentiment to finish off.
Promarkers used: Burnt Orrange, Coral, Dusky Pink, Almond, Cerise, Mustard, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Burgundy, Cardinal, Ruby, Lipstick, Indigo, True Blue, Cobalt, Arctic Blue, Coole Grey 1-5, Black, Primrose, Soft Lime & Lemon.
