August New Release at KennyK Stamps

Hello Crafty Peeps!  Is it a bright summer day where you are? We have had a lot of rain and storms this year, but that is a great excuse to stay in and craft, lol.

KennyK Stamps have a lovely new release of Christmas images for you - Santa Baby, Elfie Selfie and Santa Christmas Dance - so get into the festive spirit and join in the fun with us for the latest challenge at Club KennyK. 

Our theme this time is Anything Goes with an optional twist: Die Cuts. You can make anything you like as long as it has a Kenny K image.

I wanted to make something for a gift rather than a card, so I chose a wine bottle tag. I've made quite a few of these before, but this is the first time I've incorporated a chocolate holder.

Birthday Blog Hop with Club KennyK

I have made a colourful card using the retro image 'Drama Queen'. This is such a fun image to colour.  I have added a sentiment using Photoshop as I wanted to continue the whole comic book look. 
To create the card I have gone all-out Papermania, using their Capsule Collection 'Spots & Stripes: Brights' (patterned paper, ribbon, bow & Big Bloomers).  The circles were cut using X-Cut nesting circle dies and I have inked all the edges black with a Whispers ink pad.  The finishing touches are a button and twine in the centre of the flower.

Promarkers I have used are: Burnt Orange, Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Lipstick, Berry, Crimson, Cobalt Blue, Arctic Blue, Mustard, Gold, Raw Sienna, Pine, Forest, Apple, Aubergine, Plum, Mulberry, True Blue & Sky Blue.

You Rock with Club KennyK

It's a new month and challenge time over at Club KennyK.  This time we are concentrating on our monthly freebies.  There is one freebie for newsletter subscribers and one for club members, so make sure you sign up to receive yours.  

I am using Rock Chick as she's so cool and sassy. The theme is Anything Goes so I have made a canvas picture. 
I started by using Distress Inks (Dusty Concord & Vintage Photo) around the edges and coming towards the centre. I then used DoCrafts foam flourish stamps with Tuxedo Black Memento ink to create a pattern in the areas I wasn't going to place the image.  I highlighted the these with a white opaque marker (Recollections from Michaels).  
I attached my coloured image with 3D foam and added a chalkboard sentiment (Me & My Big Ideas MAMBISticksTM). To finish I added decorative metal corners (Michaels) and a purple ribbon to hang.
Promarkers used: Lipstick, Berry, Crimson, Black, Cool Greys 1-5, Burnt Orange, Coral, Dusky Pink, Satin, Pink Carnation, Sky Blue, True Blue, Indigo, Sandstone, Cocoa, Aubergine, Amethyst, Lilac, Plum & Purple.

I have made an upright z-fold card as I'd never made one before and I love trying new folds.  It looks so different yet is so easy to make with a card blank.
