Miss You Floral Flutterbee

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

I am very glad to have some clear stamps to play with right now, as my printer has died on me! Crossing my fingers for a fix, or I will be needing to go shopping for a new one,

I have used 'Flutterbee Tullia' from Sweet November Stamps for a fun layered floral card. I fussy cut her and all the butterflies, and used patterned papers for the background.  I usually colour scenes for these images, so I wanted to do something different.

The floral paper was a little busy to put the character straight onto, so I used scalloped circle dies and checkered paper for a picnic blanket look.

I popped most of the butterflies up on 3D foam tape to help them stand out more from the flowers, and finished off with a die-cut sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today, I appreciate all of your kind comments.

Vacation Time at The Paper Shelter

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

It's time for both teams at The Paper Shelter to come together for our Summer Break Challenge. This is an Anything Goes challenge lasting 4 weeks, so you have plenty of time to join in,

I have used 'Little Mermaid On Vacation' for a fun twisted easel card.

I gave her fun colours, patterns and some sparkle

I thought the umbrellas made a good pop-up item to hold the top of the easel, and I finished off with a stamped sentiment.

Please come and join in our challenge this week and remember, you can use any image but if you use a Paper Shelter image you are eligible for a higher value prize!

You can also share your creations over in our Facebook Group.

Making Waves Interactive Card

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

I'm still loving all things mermaid, as they are very summery and fun. I've used my Sweet November Stamps 'Mermee #3' clear stamp set again, for a fairly CAS interactive card.

I used a bubble die-cut as a stencil to create my background and of course I had to go very sparkly with the mermaid's tail!

My daughter helped me to video the interactive part of the card.

Thank you for stopping by today, I appreciate your comments.

Steampunk Tea Birthday Celebrations at The Paper Shelter

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

Our theme this week is Birthday Celebrations, so a very easy one to follow.

Last week I celebrated my husband and daughter's birthdays, so I thought I would change things up a bit for this challenge and not make a birthday card!

Instead I have made a picture frame depicting what I think would be a fun birthday celebration - a Steampunk-style tea party!

I have used 'It's Tea Time' and coloured her up to match my papers.

I broke out my Graphic 45 papers, which I don't use often as they're so precious! These are from Steampunk Spells, which was discontinued years ago. Of course I had to add some metal gears for embellishments.

I used a few of the patterns to cut some flowers to finish off.

Please come and join in our challenge this week and remember, you can use any image but if you use a Paper Shelter image you are eligible for a higher value prize!
