Cherry Sweet Picnic

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

Do you have a favourite summer fruit? I have always loved cherries, so I couldn't resist the new 'Summer Fruit Fairy: Cherry' from Sweet November Stamps. There's also a basket image you can purchase to create a scene with the fairies.

I imagined a yummy picnic basket full of cherries, that the fairy has come down to taste while the people aren't there. She does look quite mischievous to me!

Easel cards are always good as they give you more space to play with. The bottom is my picnic blanket and behind is a tree.

I added a few layers of cherries in the basket to make it look nice and full. For the fairies wings, I went over the black outline with white pen to give the illusion that they are more delicate and see-through.

My 'tree' is embossed Kraft card. I had left quite a big space with placing the picnic basket to the left, so I filled it with a leafy vine and some die cut butterflies.

The finishing touches are the sentiment, held by a ribbon and another insect friend who has come to see what is going on.

Thanks for popping by to check out my creation.

A Hoppy Birthday at Tiddly Inks

 Hello Tiddly Peeps,

Did you know that you can still grab some amazing freebies over at the Tiddly Inks Blog?

Christy has given me permission to give 'Froggie Thoughts' to my readers as this was a freebie in the old store, but isn't on the blog. Please be sure to credit Tiddly Inks when you share anything made  using this image,

I don't often do slimline cards although I love this style, so I thought Froggie would be perfect for a tall interactive card.

Froggie definitely looks quite thoughtful while hopping on the grass!

Please let me know with a comment if you grab this fun freebie and be sure to share your makes over at the Tiddly Inks Facebook Group.

Summer Vacation at The Paper Shelter

Hello Crafty Peeps,

It's time for an Anything Goes challenge at The Paper Shelter while the design team take a summer break. This gives you plenty of time to get your entries in for a chance to win.

I come from a seaside town but it's been a long time since I was at the beach, since I am now landlocked! I used 'Summer Winds' to take me back and I am imagining her on a windy beach.

I kept this card CAS as the image is the focal point, just finishing off with some Liquid Pearls to create a frame.

Be sure to join our challenge to be in with a chance to win some fabulous prizes, and remember you get a bigger gift certificate when you use a Paper Shelter image!

You can also join our Facebook Group to share all of your fabulous Paper Shelter makes.

Getting Girly at The Paper Shelter

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

I am excited to announce that I have joined the design team over at The Paper Shelter and this is my very first inspiration post for them.

This week the theme is Girly and I'm sure that will be an easy one to follow, as there are so many gorgeous girlies in the store!

I have used 'The Lady' for an upcycled jewellery box. I always keep decent boxes and this tea box was just perfect.

For the image I have chosen typical girly pink and surrounded her with some lace. A pearl earring gives the finishing touch.

I covered the box with some floral paper on the top and matching striped paper on the bottom.

I also added the floral paper to the inside lid to cover up the wording that was on there. The original mint green of the box goes well with the papers though, so I didn't cover all of it.

Be sure to join in the fun as there are some amazing prizes up for grabs.
