Cherry Sweet Picnic

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

Do you have a favourite summer fruit? I have always loved cherries, so I couldn't resist the new 'Summer Fruit Fairy: Cherry' from Sweet November Stamps. There's also a basket image you can purchase to create a scene with the fairies.

I imagined a yummy picnic basket full of cherries, that the fairy has come down to taste while the people aren't there. She does look quite mischievous to me!

Easel cards are always good as they give you more space to play with. The bottom is my picnic blanket and behind is a tree.

I added a few layers of cherries in the basket to make it look nice and full. For the fairies wings, I went over the black outline with white pen to give the illusion that they are more delicate and see-through.

My 'tree' is embossed Kraft card. I had left quite a big space with placing the picnic basket to the left, so I filled it with a leafy vine and some die cut butterflies.

The finishing touches are the sentiment, held by a ribbon and another insect friend who has come to see what is going on.

Thanks for popping by to check out my creation.
