Fishmas In January at Tiddly Inks

Well a Happy New Year Tiddly Peeps!

I hope you've all had a great break during the festive season and are getting used to being back to reality. I clearly haven't let go of the spirit as I bring you a Christmas card today. I couldn't resist using the cute new fish and it never hurts to start that Christmas crafting early!

You can grab the set 'Merry Fishmas Wishes' here and for a limited time this is 30% off. You get a fin-tastic selection in this set, with 9 images in total. Christy and her daughter both did designs for this one.

I wanted the fish bowl to be a focal point, so I created a shaped card to make it look like it's sitting on a table.

I really love non-traditional images as they are fun and will definitely stand out on a shelf full of the same old thing. Isn't the fish super cute in his little hat?

I lined the edge of the bowl with 3D gloss to give it a bit of a thicker look. I was considering doing this over the whole bowl to make it look more like glass, but it's not easy to get it smooth and I didn't want to warp the card too much.

I used Kraft card, an embossing folder and some Distress Ink for a wood grain look to my 'table'.

Did you grab these fun new images? Please do show them off in our Facebook Group
