A Snowy Day

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

I've been loving watching colouring videos lately and discovered a fun technique from Amy of Sweet November Stamps (you can catch her live on her page "Adventures in Coloring with Amy" She did a foggy scene by adding white shapes over her digital image and making them slightly transparent, so they would make some of the black lines fainter. I coloured up my own version and shared it in the group.

I was reading a Frozen book to my daughter the other night and one picture with swirls of blowing snow got me thinking that I could do the same technique for that kind of scene. I had to do a freehand drawn swirl shape in my drawing app, as there was nothing suitable in the set shapes. I left them with a faint outline, so I would still be able to see the shapes on the page. My silly printer didn't really print them though, so I used my screen as a guide to draw them back in and it worked out really well.

I didn't colour any of the image behind the 'snow' as it's denser than fog. I gave it a little sparkly feel with some white paint pen to finish off.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can try this technique out too.
