Gnome For Christmas

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

I'm getting into the Christmas spirit lately, so here's another card using images from Sweet November Stamps.

I have merged together a few images to make this fun wintry scene - 'Gnome For The Holidays: Gnigel', 'Gnome Home Holiday Scene Builder Set' and 'Scene Builder: Spooky Full Moon'. I flipped the gnome homes to create a couple of sides to the village and added a big moon in the middle for Santa to fly his reindeer across.

I still need some practice with knitted hats! All three of these gnomes are the Gnigel image, with one having the lantern added and one of them being flipped. I love the versatility of digital images for creating scenes like this!

Thank you for stopping by today, I appreciate all your kind comments.

A Furry Cute Christmas

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

I can certainly feel the colder months coming, with a grey week and now rain. It's been quite depressing and I'm looking forward to seeing the sun again!

With it being so dull though, I have brightened my days with some crafting. I recently won a gift voucher from Sweet November Stamps, so I got some new Christmas images to play with.

I couldn't resist the cute Stocking Stuffers and decided on "Fluffy' and 'Peewee' for a couple of layered Christmas cards..

I rarely use layouts/sketches, but I had some saved from a Christmas card order a while back, so decided they would be perfect for these two.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate all your kind comments.

Hocus Pocus Milk Carton at The Paper Shelter

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

We have a fun creative challenge for you at The Paper Shelter this week! We've seen and made a lot of cards recently, so this time we are asking you to share Anything But A Card.

I had a browse on Pinterest for treat boxes and found this adorable milk carton, which goes perfectly with 'My Adorable Little Witch'.  It may be pumpkin season for lots of people, but I would rather be gearing up for spooky season!

I decided to give her some fun Halloween-coloured stripes in her hair.

I decorated all sides of the box with spooky papers and finished off with a couple of sentiments and a skull & crossbones.

Please come and join in our challenge this week and remember, you can use any image but if you use a Paper Shelter image you are eligible for a higher value prize!

Ocean Scene Pop-Up Box Card

Hello Crafty Peeps,

I've been seeing this style of pop-up box card on Pinterest using dies, but figured I could measure and make one myself. It's been a while since I made any kind of pop-up card, so it was a bit of a fiddle but I got there!

I made the most of my clear stamps from Sweet November Stamps, as they are so easy to quickly stamp, colour and cut out. They are also a great size for this card.

I made my background piece first, using the large island from the 'Dock On The Bay' set. I'm really pleased with how this scene turned out.

I then coloured strips of 'ocean' to cover the sections and front of the card, plus stamped and coloured all my elements to add to the sections. Most of the images are from the same set, then I cut the tail from one of the mermaids on the 'Mermees #3' set. I've been colouring a lot of mermaids lately, so thought it would be fun to just have a glimpse of tail.

Here is a few angles of the finished card:
