Love Ducks at The Paper Shelter

Hello Crafty Peeps,

Hello from a bitterly cold Canadian Prairies, where we are dealing with extreme cold temperatures for over a week now. I am totally ready for some spring weather!

This week at The Paper Shelter our theme is WITH LOVE. Valentine's Day may have passed, but love is for every day 💕

I have made a layered anniversary card featuring 'Love Ducks'. Aren't they so cute?

I chose the background papers to match each duck, and the sky for a cohesive colour scheme that also fit the love theme.

I love a bit of nonconformity, so I gave my ducks bright colours that really stand out.

The Magic of Believing at The Paper Shelter

 Hello Crafty Peeps,

It's time for another challenge at The Paper Shelter and this week our theme is MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND.

I was going to make a card but decided on a canvas, using 'The Incantation'

I started with Distress Inks to give the canvas some colour, then used texture paste through a brick wall stencil. Once that was dry I inked over the bricks.
I drew vines, then brushed on more texture paste to give them some dimension, and coloured them with Distress Inks.

I wanted to give my fairy bright colours that I don't usually use when I colour fairies.

I love being able to create sentiments using Cricut now so I can have actual metallic colours for the words!

Thank you for stopping by today. Your kind comments are always appreciated.
