Siren's Call

Mitzi's 'Siren' image definitely called to me... I had to have her! She's so sultry and mysterious and I love the sketchy look.  There's a Crop It theme at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog right now so I thought I would do something different. I have done triple-stamping with rubber before, but never with a digital image.  I digitally cropped the image a couple of times then printed out three images, one being full size.  I coloured the background of the full size image, left the middle image black and white and fully coloured the smallest image to give more impact to the cropping. I matted on black for further emphasis before gluing all the layers together.
Products used:
  • Turquoise & black cardstock
  • Cheesecloth
  • Hemp twine
  • Shell charm
  • ProMarkers - Cool Aqua, Powder Blue, Moss, Khaki, Pastel Beige, Satin, Hot Pink, Holly, Lush Green, Spice, Apricot, Oatmeal, Burnt Orange, Peach, Warm Grey 1-3 & Tea Green
  • White Sakura Gelly Roll
  • Clear Wink of Stella

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

  4. Nicola, this is such a creative and stunning cropping approach! This is absolutely stunning! The palette featuring coral and turquoise is wonderful. The design is clean and elegant. And I love how the cheesecloth adds subtle and interesting texture to the turquoise base. Thank you for joining us for the 'Crop It!' challenge at Aurora Wings. Mitzi xx
