I'm Really A Mermaid

I've had this box sitting in my craft cupboard for a while, as I knew I wanted to upcycle it at some point.  It's a really sturdy little box, which I just couldn't throw away (you know crafters are such hoarders of things like that!!).

With Aurora Wings' latest blog challenge being Anything But A Card, I decided it was about time to get on with it!

Products used:
  • Cardstock
  • Graphic 45 'Voyage Beneath The Sea' papers, ephemera and chipboard
  • Ribbon
  • Petal Lu flowers
  • Anita's 3D Gloss
  • Sakura Gelly Roll - White
  • ProMarkers - Umber, Burnt Sienna, Cinnamon, Tan, Putty, Marine, Turquoise, Duck Egg, Holly, Lush Green, Mint Green, Burnt Orange, Pumpkin, Amber, Spice, Apricot, Oatmeal, Moss, Pear, Meadow Green, Aubergine, Slate, Blue Pearl & Powder Blue

  6. Absolutely gorgeous, Nicola! What a great way to upcycle a box! I tend to horde all kinds of packaging myself with the same intention - although the time to actually play with them seems hard to come by. Glad you went ahead with your idea and turn your box into this stunner. I love your coloring and the color palette for the mermaid image. Such an awesome project inside and out! Thank you for joining us for our latest challenge at Aurora Wings. Mitzi xx
