Farewell KennyK Stamps

Birthday Fishes at Club KennyK

We are continuing the farewell party at Club KennyK and it's my turn again for some inspiration.

Closing Party at Club KennyK

You may or may not have seen the announcement that KennyK Stamps is closing up shop.  The wonderful illustrator KennyK and his designer wife ElenaK are so in demand with the illustration side of the business that it wasn't viable to continue with the digital stamps.  

While we are all very sad at this closure, the Krafty Krew are having a party at Club KennyK to celebrate all the wonderful creations and people from the last few years.  We have showcase creations from current and past DT and GDT, plus games and other ways to win prizes.  There is also an amazing sale going on at the KennyK Stamps shop. 

Please note: all TOU still apply even after the shop closure. You must continue to watermark all creations posted online and not share or post any non-watermarked images. We will be monitoring and reporting any misuse.

Super Dad at Club KennyK

Spring Wreath at Club KennyK

Today I am sharing some more DT inspiration for this month's challenge over at Club KennyK.  Have you joined in yet?  Don't forget, if you follow the rules you can request the challenge freebie and maybe win a prize. 

Continuing the DT theme of 'Spring Flowers' I decided to make myself a wreath. This time I am using the oh-so-cute 'Farmer's Daughter', as living in the Prairies of Canada I thought she was perfect.
Michaels have a great selection of 'blank' wreaths to choose from so I decided on a grapevine wreath for the more rustic look.  I wound a ribbon all the way around and attached the flowers using their wires.  Lastly I coloured up the image, fussy cut her and glued her in place.

Spring Flowers at Club KennyK

It's time for a new challenge at Club KennyK on Facebook and as it's now officially spring, our DT theme is 'Spring Flowers'.

Friends Frame at Club KennyK

Our March challenge at Club KennyK is underway and this time the DT theme is 'Anything But A Card'. This really is a fun theme as you can get so creative with different ideas.

I actually had printed and coloured the image before I bought a frame, so I was lucky to find this one as it fits perfectly! I painted it with two coats of acrylic before attaching the image and embellishments.  The little cell brads I bought on a shopping trip not for any specific project, but I knew I had to have them and it goes so well with this image.

Monochrome Birthday Surprise at Club KennyK

You all love KennyK Stamps right?  Well they might bear the name of the man, but the awesome designer behind these images is his wife Elena K.  And right now we are celebrating at Club KennyK because it's Elena's birthday.  

We wanted to do something special for her, so I came up with the idea of creating a rainbow - each designer choosing a colour and making a monochrome card using that colour. It's been cold and grey here lately, so I wanted to make something bright and sunny and chose orange.  I am using the 'Fun Faerie' image as this is one I haven't coloured before and fairies lend themselves to all colours!

In With The New at Club KennyK

Did you have a great Christmas and New Year?  The team at Club KennyK had a little break, but we're back now and changing things up a little for 2017.  Our challenges are now going to be monthly starting 1st February and will all be Anything Goes.  You will also be able to enter with just a colouring or with mixed media as long as it uses a KennyK image.

So if you love using Kenny K but have never joined us in the Club before, now is a great time to come visit. There will be prizes plus monthly freebies for those who enter the challenges.

Something Wicked This Way Comes at Club KennyK

Wow, where did October go? It's already my last Halloween guest post at Club KennyK! 

The theme is 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' so obviously I had to break out the Graphic 45.  I've made so many Halloween cards recently, I wanted to do a little something different for this challenge. My Mum gave me a vase of black roses, so I've made a vase 'wrap' (or maybe it's a tag, I'm not sure what to call it) using 'Devil Girl'.
